"Bastiano" Two-Seater Sofa

Frame in solid teak wood and brown chocolate leather upholstered, Knoll International edition from 1970.

When Afra & Tobia Scarpa first designed the Bastiano Sofa, first edited by Gavina in 1962, they wanted to provide seating that was sophisticated and elegant, yet casual and comfortable. In keeping with the spirit that inspired it, the Bastiano Collection has been adapted to the proportions of a more contemporary domestic environment.

CONSTRUCTION:

Frame: Solid wood finished with transparent protective varnish. The seat support frame is in wood with coated steel straps.

Upholstery: Dark brown leather seat, back and arm cushions, all have a variable foam core with Polyester fibre wrap and down filled.

All cushions have zips. Arm and seat cushions have a strap attached to a recessed hidden hook in the wood structure to ensure the cushions remain in an upright position.
