Sputnik Chandelier

Produced in the former DDR (Deutsch Demokratische Republik) by VEB Leuchtenbau, Leipzig. 1970s. Branded Richard Essig (distributor).

A large chandelier composed by 25 arms, 13 bulb lights and 12 smaller crystal-glass globes. All 26 metal rods in silver aluminium connected to an ivory lacquered egg-shell.

DDR or GDR (German Democratic Republic) was solved in 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall and with the end of the Cold War.

In good condition, no missing pieces or chips.

Provenance from the "Palast der Republik" in East Berlin, This place no longer exist.
