Kaiser Leuchten (Gebr. Kaiser & Co. Leuchten KG) was founded in 1895 by Hermann Kaiser. Initially the company produced parts for other lighting companies but soon they began development of
petroleum lamp and cooking products and furnance. As the electric light conversion began, Kaiser began to make electric light parts. Following WWII, Kaiser Leuchten became one of the largest
lighting manufacturers. Known of their collaboration with designer Chritian Dell and Bauhaus deisgn, Kaiser found sucess. In the 1970s the Thorn Lighting Group bought the Kaiser
brand.
