Manufactured in Methacrylate Polyester by Batiplastic, and distributed / sold by "Mobilier de France" catalogue, 1968-1970.
This table was designed for the Maneval´s "Boulles 6 Cocques house.
The Jean-Benjamin Maneval´s "Boulles 6 Coques" (Six-Shell Bubble-House) that was first presented at the Salon Des Arts Menagérs in 1956. The Bubble-House started to be produced and sold in 1968 to 1970.
In 1956 France made considerable conceptual and technical progress, the first houses and furniture were presented, made out of plastic/synthetic materials. In 1965 synthetic products such as furniture were mass-produced and commercialised in France.
Table in good condition, showing signs of wear.
